Passion drives us. This is how we create unique shoes that inspire young and old. The secret of our success: eco-certified, anatomically shaped interchangeable footbeds, broken lasts, perfect fit and a multi-width system.
At FIDELIO, we have a clear goal: to produce comfortable and modern shoes that inspire every day and bring pure happiness to the feet.
Bright eyes and happy feet – that’s what drives us. We create enthusiasm and joy with our unique shoes, which impress with their quality and design. Our footbed ensures fatigue-free walking around the clock – according to our guiding principle: “How you bed your feet is how you walk.”
Reliability and trust are the cornerstones of our work. The name FIDELIO, derived from the Latin “fidelis” (faithful and reliable), reflects these values. We are proud of our ethical standards and our commitment to eco-social responsibility.
We design FIDELIO shoes in Austria and focus on European quality. Each supplier is carefully checked to ensure compliance with environmental guidelines and quality standards. Wherever possible, we source materials from the region – such as our removable footbed from Upper Austria – to support the local economy and promote sustainable practices.
Every journey begins with a first step.
FIDELIO owes its first step to Martin Kasperek. On August 1, 1995, he founds Kasperek KG, originally as a shoe wholesaler.
First wholesale, then production
In 2003, Martin Kasperek began the transition from wholesaler to producer. Market requirements have increased, and the idea of offering custom-fit mules and sandals with anatomical interchangeable footbeds is born. The successful Softline follows in 2005.
Innovative bestseller
2006 sees the launch of the third product line “Hallux” with a special stretch insert for hallux valgus. This innovative line quickly becomes a bestseller.
Growth and change
Due to rapid growth, FIDELIO moves to new, larger premises in the Südpark on the outskirts of Linz in 2008. In the same year, Kasperek KG becomes FIDELIO GmbH, and the product and company now form a single unit.
Expansion of the product range
The production of closed-toe shoes for women starts in 2009. Low shoes with an invisible hallux insert were introduced in 2010, and the modern Multi Stretch line with a stretchable forefoot area has been available since 2018.
FIDELIO today
Today, FIDELIO offers four product lines: Fidelio, Hallux, Multi Stretch and Softline. Thanks to continuous innovation and up-to-date fashion design, FIDELIO is successful worldwide and is considered a specialist for shoes with functional use.
